Pelvic pain is one of the common conditions amounting for 40 % of gynaecological referrals. Pelvic venous congestion syndrome is one of the causes of pelvic pain which is hard to understand and relatively unknown amongst patients. It is estimated that up to 30% of women with pelvic pain may suffer from this condition.

Endometrial hyperplasia is an excessive growth of the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus. Normally the lining of the uterus thickens and sheds during the menstruation. It is caused by longstanding exposure to Oestrogens. Endometrial Hyperplasia is rare in women under 30 years of age and occurs more frequently from the ages 45-50.
